What a difference a day makes. Today in negotiations at the Delaware Country Times, company negotiators as expected, took aim at job security, including seniority on layoff, but also seeks concessions in severance, overtime, vacation, sick leave, loss of the 401k contribution, and a host of other issues. After eight hours of bargaining, the employer stated they will make an economic proposal tomorrow morning. We begin at 9, and as you can imagine, we are far, far apart.
