VICTORY!!!
It is with the utmost enthusiasm and pride that we announce the victorious election of Jon Schleuss as president of the NewsGuild-CWA.
Jon defeated incumbent Bernie Lunzer, 1,979 to 1,514.
You all played a big part in this. NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia doubled its participation in this election rerun, casting 157 votes — 153 of those votes were for Jon.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The future of the NewsGuild is in tremendous hands. We all have a lot of work to do. What Jon demonstrated was how hungry he is for this job because he wants to improve all of our lives.
