Important Guild Update
Dear Guild member,
Before tomorrow morning’s meeting with the company, in which Mike Lorenca is expected to provide detailed information about how contract talks are going with the other unions and again ask the Guild to come to the bargaining table, the Guild Executive Board nominated Guild Treasurer Howard Gensler to serve as acting president.
There will be a General Membership meeting at 6:30 p.m;. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 to inform Guild members of the state of discussions with the company and see if any Guild members wish to run for president or treasurer or one of the vacancies on the Guild executive board. The meeting will likely be moved to a more convenient location than the Guild Hall so as many members as possible may attend.
We will send out further details regarding the Tuesday meeting tomorrow or Friday and send out an update on our meeting with the company tomorrow.
